Real-time pipe-routing race

Flume

Lay pipe ahead of the water.

Coming to the App StoreiPhoneOffline

Overview

About Flume

A real-time pipe-routing race: lay the pieces you are dealt ahead of rushing water and keep it flowing one tile longer than you thought you could.

Water enters the board from a source and flows through whatever pipe it finds. You hold a queue of upcoming pieces in fixed orientations; a tap on any empty cell lays the next one. Every pipe the water fills scores; when it meets a wall, an empty cell or a mismatched opening it spills and the level is over. Fill the level's goal before the spill to clear it, pick one of three perks, and face faster water, more rocks and a longer goal.

Gameplay

How it plays

  1. Tap an empty cell to lay the next piece from the queue. Pieces cannot be rotated.
  2. Water flows from the source through any pipe whose opening matches.
  3. Fill at least the goal number of pipes before the water spills.
  4. Clear the level to pick one of three perks. The next level has faster water, more rocks and a longer goal.
  5. Hold Fast to speed the water along once your route is laid.

Depth

What makes runs different

  • Which cell this piece goes in, whether to abandon a dead line, when to stop extending and hold fast-forward.
  • Perks build: slow water, cross-pipe scoring, clean combos, safety.
  • A laid piece the water has not reached can be replaced, for a score penalty.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I rotate a piece?

No. Pieces come in fixed orientations; the route is yours to plan around them.

What is the goal?

The number of pipes the water must fill before it spills. It grows every level, and the water gets faster.

What ends a run?

A spill before the level's goal is met. Clearing a level offers one of three perks.

Where is my progress stored?

Progress, records, unlocks, the saved run and the sound/haptics settings are stored on the device only (UserDefaults and the app's own Application Support folder). Deleting the app deletes them. x3r0soft never receives them. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I reset?

Settings → Reset progress clears records, unlocks and any saved run; sound and haptics settings are kept.
