Overview

About Bones

A push-your-luck dice game: roll five dice, hold what you like, roll again or bank; every 1 is a crack, and three cracks end the turn.

Roll five dice. Any die showing a 1 cracks and is out for the turn; three cracks bust the turn and its points. Between rolls, tap dice to hold them, then roll the rest again or bank what is showing. Banked points count toward the level's target; a level gives three turns, reaching the target early pays a bonus and offers one of three relics, and missing it ends the run.

Gameplay

How it plays

  1. Tap Roll. Dice showing a 1 crack and leave the turn.
  2. Tap dice to hold their faces, then roll the rest again or bank.
  3. Groups of matching dice score more the bigger they are; a 2-3-4-5-6 straight pays a bonus.
  4. Three cracks bust the turn and its points.
  5. Reach the level's target within three turns, take a relic, and the target climbs.

Depth

FAQ

Common questions

How is a roll scored?

Groups of dice showing the same face score the face value times the square of the group size, and a 2-3-4-5-6 straight pays a bonus. The Codex shows the table.

What is a crack?

A die that rolls a 1. It leaves the turn. Three cracks bust the turn and you lose its points.

Does the game involve gambling?

No. Nothing is wagered and nothing can be bought. You push your luck for points against a target.

Where is my progress stored?

Progress, records, unlocks, the saved run and the sound/haptics settings are stored on the device only (UserDefaults and the app's own Application Support folder). Deleting the app deletes them. x3r0soft never receives them. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I reset?

Settings → Reset progress clears records, unlocks and any saved run; sound and haptics settings are kept.
