This Privacy Policy describes how x3r0soft ("we," "us") handles information in connection with x3r0TD ("the App"), a single-player tower defense game for iPhone, and the website at x3r0soft.com.
1. Information collected by the game
We do not operate game servers and do not collect personal data on x3r0soft servers through normal App use.
The App does not include:
- A user account or login system
- Third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
- App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompts or cross-app tracking
- CloudKit sync or x3r0soft-controlled cloud save
- Push notification registration in the current release
The App uses Apple platform frameworks only (including SwiftUI, SpriteKit, SwiftData, and StoreKit 2) plus the first-party simulation package bundled with the App. It does not embed third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising libraries.
2. Local game data
Gameplay and settings are stored on your device, including:
- Campaign progress — sector unlocks, star ratings, codex discoveries, achievements, and related progression stored with SwiftData
- Upgrades and wallet — Core balance, permanent upgrade tiers, and related meta progression
- Settings — audio levels, haptics, graphics, accessibility, and other preferences stored in UserDefaults
- Purchase state — owned product IDs and fulfilled consumable transaction IDs stored locally to prevent duplicate grants
Deleting the App removes this local save data from your device. We cannot restore local progress from x3r0soft because we do not receive a copy of your save file during ordinary play.
TestFlight builds only: an optional local session summary may be available under Settings → Beta Feedback. Counters (such as launches and sectors started/won/lost) stay on your device. You may export JSON or CSV and attach it to feedback you send us. This export does not include advertising identifiers or x3r0soft account IDs.
On-device diagnostics: the App writes limited technical messages to the Apple unified logging system (visible in Console.app during development or device logging). These logs are not uploaded to x3r0soft by the App.
3. Purchases handled by Apple
Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit 2. When you buy or restore a purchase, Apple handles payment, receipt verification, and related billing under Apple's Privacy Policy.
x3r0soft does not receive your payment card number or full Apple ID credentials. The App stores purchase-related state on your device (such as product IDs and fulfilled transaction IDs) so entitlements and consumable grants can be applied correctly. Consumable Core bundles follow standard App Store policy and do not restore after reinstall, as disclosed in the in-game Store.
4. Support emails
If you contact us at support@x3r0soft.com, we receive the information you choose to include in your message (for example, device model, iOS version, game version, issue description, or screenshots).
Please do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, or other sensitive credentials. We use support email only to respond to your request.
5. Third-party services
x3r0soft services: we do not operate analytics, advertising, or account backends for the App in the current release.
Apple services: the App may communicate with Apple for App Store product metadata, purchase processing, purchase restoration, and distribution checks (for example, TestFlight detection via StoreKit). Apple may also collect crash diagnostics and App Store analytics according to your device and Apple ID settings. That collection is governed by Apple, not x3r0soft.
Website: x3r0soft.com is a static site without third-party analytics cookies, advertising embeds, or account registration in the current release.
Links you open: the App may open our support and privacy pages in your browser when you choose those links. Your browser and network provider handle that connection.
6. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it from our support mailbox when practicable.
7. Data retention
- On-device game data — kept until you delete the App or reset the device data that contains it.
- Support emails — retained only as long as needed to handle your request and maintain ordinary business records, then deleted or archived according to our email provider practices.
- Purchase records at Apple — retained under Apple's policies; manage them through your Apple ID account settings.
We do not maintain a separate x3r0soft database of player profiles.
8. User choices
- Delete the App to remove local save data from your device.
- Adjust in-game audio, haptics, and accessibility settings in Settings.
- Manage purchases and subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.
- Choose what to include when emailing support; omit information you do not want to share.
- Control Apple crash and analytics sharing through iOS and Apple ID privacy settings.
9. Policy changes
We may update this policy when the App or website changes. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the App or website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
