Tap a tile to light it; the number you see is the total threat of the monsters hiding in the eight tiles around it. Fighting a monster at or below your level is free; every point above it costs hearts, and every fight gives experience. Read the numbers, fight the weak ones first, level up, clear the floor, go deeper. Between floors, draft a Charm that changes what you know or what fights cost.

Overview
About Lamplight
A dungeon deduction game: light tiles, read the threat numbers, fight the monsters you can afford, and level up before you touch the big ones.
Gameplay
How it plays
- Tap a dark tile to light it. A lit tile shows the total threat of the monsters in the eight tiles around it.
- Tap a monster to fight it. At or below your level it costs nothing; above it, hearts.
- Every fight gives experience. Level up to make bigger monsters safe.
- Clear the floor, then draft one of three Charms.
- Lose all ten hearts and the run ends. The board stays visible so you can see what happened.
Depth
What makes runs different
- The numbers are sums, so they can be solved: a 3 beside one dark tile is a level-3 monster.
- Risk is a resource: a deliberate fight above your level buys experience at a price.
- Charms change what you can see and what fights cost.

FAQ
Common questions
What does the number on a tile mean?
The total threat of every monster hiding in the eight tiles around it. A tile with a 0 lights its neighbours for you.
How much does a fight cost?
Nothing when the monster's threat is at or below your level. Above it, the cost climbs fast: one heart for one point above, three for two, six for three.
What ends a run?
Losing your last heart. Clearing a floor heals one heart, and floors from the second onward hold a heart to find.
Where is my progress stored?
Progress, records, unlocks, the saved run and the sound/haptics settings are stored on the device only (UserDefaults and the app's own Application Support folder). Deleting the app deletes them. x3r0soft never receives them. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I reset?
Settings → Reset progress clears records, unlocks and any saved run; sound and haptics settings are kept.
